MK3 review
« on: December 25, 2007, 11:45:58 AM »

I noticed that there wasn't a review for this yo-yo yet, so i decided to give it a try.

Looks: 9/10

Very sleek, shiny yo-yo. Slightly larger than your average yo-yo. The engravings on the rim of the yo-yo are very cool

Playability: 7.5/10

The large size makes it a little tougher for small-handed throwers, but is an excellent 1a yo-yo with a long sleep time.

Grindability: 7/10

Large area makes it perfect for thumb grinds. One might think that its massive shininess would impair any grinds, but as long as your hands are dry, palm grinds and much more are possible. The spyy spike is very cool, and can be played much like a hubstacked yo-yo.

WARNING!!: not for thin skinned players. The spike can be painful.

give it a couple months, it'll be very dirty and have lots of finger prints, almost impossible to keep the finger prints off it...

Just clean once a week with soapy water, and ploish once every 2 months, and it will be fine. I kept my barebones in a great shin by doing that for 6 months.

Is your Barebones nickel plated? My raw Tank looks like new after a year, aside from the dings and scratches.

My MK3 on the other hand gets almost black after a while, even if I don't play it, so I have to polish it regularly. I use Tuf-Glide (lubricant and rust inhibitor) now after polishing, I think it helps to keep the "bling".

I beg to differ.  I can get matador spins that last around 2 mins on my finger tip.

Doing any kind of trick requires extreme patients and practice, which is why most people don't bother.

I have an MKIII I don't see fingerprints, but maybe my hands are dryer. It's a nice yoyo.

I have a KK in it now, but may go back to the stock to see the difference. I like it as much as my 2 difs, and the small bearing gives it a feel of it's own. The quality of the workmanship is the first thing I noticed. If I sell off all my yoyos, this one stays.
