Ok so I'm trying to learn Gyroscopic Flop. First, how do you perform the whip when your at the trapeze. Second, when the yoyo is turning and I'm trying to keep the string in the middle the yoyo tries to turn one way and then it tries to turn the other. Please I need help.

You don't have to start from trapeze. I go into a sideways mach 5 and pop off the front or back.
Get the string in a position and hold it there, just keep trying and one day you will get it.

Me and Danny Severance have a lot in common. For one, we both have sisters.

Once you are in the gyro flop position, I find easing off gently on the string and the reapplying the pressure helps sometimes, sort of like pulling gently and releasing. It helps me when I don't think it's going to make a rotation, but after a while, you just get the feel for this trick and it is one of the best.

Ok now I need help on the flopping part. My question is How do you keep the strings from touching the sides of the yoyo and the flops.

move them away from the sides. It takes some practice, but it's not hard once you've worked at it a bit. When you see the flop slowing down or trying to change direction, have a look at the gap and gently move the string away from the side it's touching. Don't do it too fast or you'll just kill the spin.

Good luck Afro
