Here is a video I made a little while ago.

I am working on some new concepts, but I don't feel comfortable enough with them to film.

When I do, you'll see. Until then, I hope this inspires just one of you.

from the videos ive seen here i dont expect much as far as trick content on this project.

spencer, why not gather a small group of players that could create a resurgence of green triangles in tricks, bringing back the trend instead of butchering the triangle?

just wondering.

please explain to the yoyoers here that put up their vids of green triangles and other tricks that they are butchered? I find that offensive not only to me, but to the other yoyoers here that put up those videos that they had worked hard on for that matter.

and the project is suposedly something that everyone is to work in, suposedly of what spencer said, so then you suggest to use a clique of yoyoers then instead of people all over the place, that have different styles of play and technique?

oi.

i think for the masses to believe that they would appeal to yuuki's discriminating standards would be unrealistic. you do not offend me, yuuki.

i apologize if the quality of my play has offended you.

To be honest, my favorite part about this project is that it is in my hands.

I know you are worried about your cherished yoyo community, but I hope you know you can trust me, Yuuki.  Besides, the stories of these kids are just as valid as yours - they just require a different presentation.

You and I will get together and shoot some stuff before the production wraps.

Kinopah, thank you for not taking offense to my oppinion.

I am not saying any of you guys are poor yoyoers. Im just saying id rather watch a nba game then 13 year olds playing on the public park court.

But from the looks of it, spencer wants to document those that are coming up in yoyoing, and those that are already there.  I guess his approach on this project is to document all levels of players.

Regardless, its good to see that people are enthusiastic about this and are taking the time to contribute and to display their take on a simple concept that is green triangle.

No disrespect, just saying id rather watch rodney mullen skate than that kid that just learned how to kick flip.

yeah i get what ur saying yuuki, but we all really start somewhere everyone here is on a different level in their yoyo course some are more experienced then others and yeah its not as fun to watch someone who doesnt have as much experience cause they dont look as well.. experienced. the longer you do something the better you get at it if ur really determined. I dont mind watching some people that arent that experienced cause i know one day if they keep at it they will become even better and I will look back on their vid and see how far theyve come, its like youve kinda grown with em ya know Smiley I remembering seeing some of your older freestyles never imagining youd win worlds even though you were really good but look at what you achieved. Ya never know who could become the next world champ or the next pro

alright then, I see what you mean as of right now. you made it alot clearly stating it that way with the rodney mullen comment.
I want to hug you now.
unfornuately, I had to take a immediate defense because that is my nature to be that way. but yeah, that is exactly what spencer is doing, for yoyoers around the country and beyond to feel close knit to this project, to where all out effours of gt tricks can be displayed and recognized equally.

I do like the way you think and I agree. I believe that most up and coming players have one or two original and non-butchered GT tricks. You just have a lot more.

Kinopah, why are apologizing?  Just because you may have offended the all mighty Yuuki?  I think you should be more than satisfied with the quality of your play.

don't confuse honor for cowardice.
i'm quite satisfied, and find it quite fulfilling.

hidden within my apology was the implication that i don't try to yo-yo to fit the standards or demands of yuuki, and that, to quote eleanor roosevelt, "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
