The Green Triangle Project's first update is a video I put together.

I'd like this topic to centralize any question, comments, or help anyone needs with the video or its content.

As far as tutorials go, I will start with a basic one and move on as requested.

Adam and I talked about seconds 24-25.  This is a super basic idea: attempt a 2or0.  When the yoyo has reached about 12o' clock in it's final revolution towards the 2or0, move your throwhand vertical (from your freehand) and release the throwhand loop, snagging the yoyo and reversing it's direction.  I like this move mostly because it feels like butter.

Have you stripped or lost your axle? PM me. I have brand new replacement axles for just about any newer metal yoyo for $2.50 shipped.

That video makes my brain hurts trying to figure out some of the stuff. Grin

Great video, cant wait to see more and some of the instructional stuff. The concept of documenting high terch yoyoing through the evolution of a single trick is a very original and smart idea. Keep it up.

Thank you for all the support.

The sound in Debt in Knowledge is 100% home-recorded.  I really wanted to make a video where I used my resources instead of my schools.  Debt is 100% household built - my light sources were household bulbs with some diffusion/color, I shot it all on DV, and the sounds were homemade.

I think an important part of the yoyoing community is keeping the internet realm current with a wide contribution of tricks.  Making yoyo videos accessible and available is what has expedited the evolution of our hobby.  I hope that as technology becomes more available, we can continue to harness it to the advantage of our community.

Yes, I know I am getting a bit corny, but hey, I am jazzed about this prospect.  The Digital New Wave is here.

After seeing this video I feel like the yoyo tricks I have created are simply yoyo tricks. Your tricks are poetry, with every throw you bring the excitement of Christmas morning with it.

Spencer,

The video was an effortless effort to show the world that you still got it and "it" has never left you even for a minute. I enjoy watching because the trick essence shown was what I have been trying to do all this while and for that, I shake your hand in respect and humility. It has brought my new ideas and new combos that I have been working on all together to gel up into one general concept that you have shown us in Debt of Knowledge.

I always regard my playing style as old-school meets new school tricks in between but you have definitely shown it right here. I know I might not make any sense at all but I hope you understand.

I will hopefully meet you in the near future and if given the chance, maybe share what we have.

Dimi,

You are a marvel of human existence.  My brief brushes with you through the internet have been amazing and full of unadulterated love.  I hope that we can hang out at some point.  Perhaps this project can bring it all together.
