this isnt a poll that anyone can win BUT here it is

who is your favorite player for 1a and 5a differnt people for both i dont mean over all and WHY? why are they your favorite player, are they smooth? fast? inavative*?

personally my favorite 1a player is Justin weber because he is one of the most smooth technical players out there and he doesnt change with the time his style is always justin's style no matter who won what contest for doing a certain style of whatever. he is also one of the technical players that places high which you dont see that much compaired to flasy fast players!

ok theres mine i dont really have an opinion for 5a just because...

JonRob - His style is like my style, its always fun watch his video because they always make you a better player

1A: Mark Montgomery: Obscenely smooth with some very difficult tricks too.
5A: Jake Bullock: He's metallllllllllllllllllll. Thats really the only reason why i like him.

1A: Black: He's smooth, and not all about speed, his tricks are not only technical but beautiful and innovative, while most are just fast and complex, black is graceful and pleasing.

5A: Eric Beekman: the most unique 5A in the world.

For 1A: Mikhail Tulabut because he is just amazing ,smooth, and technical . And his Ex3cute video was just incredible.

For 5A: Jake Bullock or JonRob because they both really show what can be done with a dice and a yoyo

1A: shawn fumo he has really smooth stuff and really innovative IMHO a player that deserves a lot more respect than he gets, black is a  VERY close second for the same reasons.

5A: John rob i really like the tight loop ing the cw through stuff he does.

Black has won Worlds in two different divisions, as well as being a runner up, i don't really think he can be called under rated.

As for my choices.

1A:
Yuuki Spencer, who i've admired ever since i saw his 2004 Worlds freestyle shortly after getting seriously into yoyoing, i've tried to put into words the difference between Yuuki's tricks and bad Tech 1A tricks but i've really been able to articulate it properly, so i'm not gonna bother trying agiain. Along with: Mikhail, Justin Weber, Sebastian Brock and Vashek Kroutil.

5A: Jake Bullock, Miguel Correa and anyone else who doesn't do endless Electric Fan combos, i don't really watch enough 5A to pick an outright favourite, but i'm a huge fan of players who use the CW to actually affect mounts as opposed to just swinging it around it big pretty circles.

1a- PAUL HAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my favorite 1a player because he does alot of follow up stuff, which are my favorite type of tricks.

good boy simon. hahaha jp but thats what i want too hear, me jonrob and tressely were talking about every player know to man on the train ride back from NY states an we dicided that there were deffinately a few untouchable people in 1a.   yuuki, justin, mark mont,jason lee and some more. then we talked about how the are good yoyoers and good comptitors and there are barely any people that are both besides the list above.  discuss

My Turn.....
1a- Its impossible to pick only one player for this style cause its so many people who inspire me, But there are two different Types of 1a players The one who perform and others you can watch off stage and just be amazed by there tricks. So instead of naming a fav ill name the people who indeed inspire me to do what I do. Jordan Cooper is someone Ive alway looked up to because his Technical style of play is incredible.( Watch the Vid Three Nails and youll see what Im talking about) he isnt the Best performer but I can watch his vid Multiple times and be inspired every time. Mark Montgomery watching him perform On stage makes me want to perform like he does he has the confidence, Tricks and Stage Presence that makes him a great performer. These two 1a players been my personal favs for years. But the new guys i see killing the scene are Ky Zizzan Cause his style is VERY unique Trust me watch him yoyo  off stage your jaw will drop, I also Like his Snappy BindsToo lol. and Mikhail cause he just pwns and everyone Knows it.

And for 5a JOn Rob and Tyler.The  Reason? well They are The only reason I'm trying to step mY 5a Game up haha.

I would say, for 1A probably Mark Mongomery. He thinks up new things to do with the string. Really unorthodox mounts and ways in and out. Overall clever stuff that really blows you away when you see it up close or try to attempt any of it.

Also Mikhail for the same reasons.

For 5A i have to say JonRob. He comes up with clever things to do with the CW. Very non-traditional 5a. Unique style with a flare for the technical stuff. Technical 5a is,to me, more impressive than beesting variations, and meltdown combos. The way Jon thinks about freestyle scoring in relation to his tricks is interesting.  His tricks revolve around the yo-yo moving only while the CW is out of his hand. Minimal 1A elements while maximizing the 5A elements.

I really am more of a 1A connoisseur. I classify most 1A players into 2 categories. Freestyle players and Video players. Some people are good at Freestyles, usually more performance based easier to hit tricks. Some are better at showing their stuff in videos. More technical usually, stuff that is better realized on screen and/or viewed more than once or in slow motion (Mikhail comes to mind).

heres a great example of some one whos a amazing yoyoer but not a preformer, MARK allen he is one of the nastiest MF's in the game but just because of his style he doesnt get scored well there for he doesnt ever get the placeing at contests he deserves! one of the flaws in judging these days...

1A:Mark Montgomery, because he's crazy smooth even for the insane difficulty and technical skill his tricks take.

5A: Jon Rob or Jake Bullock, both there styles are very innovative and fun to watch.

Yuuki Spencer: As Simon said, he does good technical tricks, and I love how every year he changes his style of yoyoing.
Mark Montgomery: He constantly comes up with interesting things to do inside of mounts.
Jason Lee: Innovator.
Sebastian Brock: Has out-of-the-box 1A.

I was going to do 5A, but I can't seem to think up of reasons for my choices. But... Tyler Severance, Jake Bullock, Jon Rob, Miguel Correa, Dana Bennett, Steve Brown.
