I don't make many reviews, but I prefer them to be short, sweet, and painfully to the point.
Here I'm reviewing Matt's newest string format: Type X
Before the Throw – First Impressions: Color – Same as Type 1 and 2. Extremely vibrant + many colors to choose from. 10/10 Feel – Soft, but not too soft. Starts off slightly rougher than the other Types Matt sells. Has a 'strong' feeling about it. 9/10 Length – They ship 50" without a loop. PERFECT for me. 10/10
On the Throw – In-depth Review: Whips – I've never been super good at whips, but this string works very well for them. 8/10 Slacks – I've never been super good at slacks, but this string works very well for them. 8/10 Overall Tension – Holds tension quite well. But not as good as it could be. 8/10 Length – Doesn't stretch too much. 9/10 Bounce – Crazy good bounce. Not too much, not too little. Last a long time, too. 10/10 Play – Probably the best playing string I've ever used. 10/10 Longevity – Lasts very very long. But I've had string that lasted longer. 8/10
Overall Score: 90/100
Another home run Matt.

Hey man - I am glad you like them. The good news is they are becoming more widely available so other people can try them out an see what's up - stay tuned.

Could either of you tell me how responsive type x strings are compared to type 1 and 2?
Thanks.

Responsiveness has little to do with the string. Unless you're using very thick string. But all of YYSL strings are about the same thickness.

It feels like they start out thicker, but they are somewhere between Type1 and Type2 (and that's not a wide difference).
