OK, I haven't been yo-yoing for a looong time. But I just realized that I don't have a decent yo-yo at work, and I really ought to. So I decided I'd just buy another of my favorite yo-yo in the world: the Buzzon Element X. Then I found that Buzzon is out of business! After crying in the shower for an hour, I regrouped and started looking for a similar yo-yo. But with all these new products, I'm lost. So, could anyone give me some recommendations on yo-yos that are similar in responsiveness and feel to the Element X?
Here are my answers to the questions from the sticky post: 1. Budget: I'd prefer to pay $30-$50, but I'm willing to go as high as $100. 2. Composition: I prefer the rim of the yo-yo to be plastic or rubber, so that it's soft in my hand, and soft when I let beginners use it and they smack it into someone's head. The rest of the composition doesn't matter. 3. Play style: 1A 4. Favorite yoyo: Buzzon Element X!!! 5. Pad response: I don't know if I've used pad response before. The Element X had friction stickers. I think I remember playing with some YoYoJam yoyos with O-rings, but they were too unresponsive for me. I don't want a yoyo that requires me to do a... what was it called? Where you have to loop the yoyo back over your finger to get it to return? Anyways, I want something responsive enough that I can just jerk my hand to have it return. 6. Favorite color: blue. (But color is mostly unimportant.)
OK, one other thing is that I grew up in a time when Duncan only made the $5 Imperial and Butterfly yoyos. So although I liked the FreeHand, I'd much prefer something from a different brand.
Thanks for the help!

Afraid to burst your bubble, but you really should learn to play unresponsive, trust me, I disliked the concept at first, but now it is awkward for me to play responsive. Just saying.

Look for the yomega ooch-yo (the new plastic version) Yomega has been seriously stepping up their game and when I tried the new ooch at worlds, I was really impressed and it truly had a VERY similar play to the element X. I even recall a few other players trying it out and commenting that it felt allot like an element X in play. I used to own tons of Ele'xs and I couldn't agree with the statement any more.
Probably the closest you're gonna get play wise to said buzzon.

You could likly buy some element X's off the Buy sale trade section, you won't likly find them just up for sale. But if you make a post saying you are looking to buy one you will most likly get someone to sell you one. Good luck.

How floaty is the 44? We measured it on a floaty-o-meter and it scored a 44.
