So I've the opportunity to buy one of these 3 yo-yos and I really need help deciding. The main priority is stability of the yo-yo since I'll be using it to learn new tricks and do horizontal tricks (because they look so damn cool). All 3 really look like stellar choices and I know I probably cannot go wrong with any one of them but I would really like to hear the thoughts of others regarding these 3 throws.
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies!

1. Pro then severe both are good but the pro is super stable 2. severe is very fast for horizontal and the weight makes it great for learning, pro's weight makes it good if your horizontal is already amazing 3. catalyst is a great yoyo but doesn't compare based on your interests to the severe or pro

SEVERE 2010 is a nice yoyo for what you are talking about, its wider shape is great for learning as well as advancing. I would reccommend the Pro if you are already Experienced. Look into a Supernova, sounds like it may fit you.

Also, since the Supernova is slightly over my price range, how does the Supernova Lite compare to the Severe?

the supernova lite and a capless 2010 severe (as in the kind that didn't take caps at all) play VERY similarly.
