How to tarnish nickel?

I heard mustard but I'm not sure so any input would be awesome

Sweat.. a lot. If it is a yoyo you wan't to tarnish, just keep playing. It gives a you a great excuse to throw. But if you are going to us mustard (if it works) then you could try masking of areas of the yoyo to give it cool patterns.

Haha I know of the obvious throwing it, but I want to tarnish is darker. I throw for multiple hours a day so playing it is no problem but I want to tarnish it quick

Ok, I googled it and apperently ketchup, salsa, and barbecue sauce will tarnish it.

Okay well the mustard didn't really work on body but on the face of the yoyo there are darker spots which looks cool. I might try it again but with more to see if that works

I remember back when I was into guitars that vinegar fumes can tarnish nickel. People would hang their nickel parts over some white vinegar to age them.

Funny you say that cause I did this earlier and it seemed to work decently well.
