FHwho? PGwhat?
Pros: lots of rim (cap, really) weight, low-walled, accepts flowable silicone
Cons: maybe too light, the installed pads suck, little vibe
The caps are quite thick and provide most of the weight. I popped the caps out, FHZ-style, and added weight rings but it was too heavy so it's back to standard weight again. The caps are held in place with dabs of silicone but this can introduce more vibe so I scraped off the silicone and used two tiny drops of super glue per cap. Result: much less vibe but still a little. Also, the installed pads do not fill the response area adequately and my initial throws were super weak due to the string not have enough grip on the yoyo as it unrolled on a throw. After installing silicone I get powerful enough throws and spintime for the weight, which is light. I've been enjoying light yoyos such as a YYR Overdrive and OD Code1 with ultralight SEs lately so in the end I am content with the weight. Definitely install flowable or you will not be happy with the feel on a throw and weak binds.
Some might think the secret to this type of shape is the large catch zone. Correct them gently and tell them that this shape is simply a means to the ends of rim weighting and low walls.
More plastics like this, please. Thank you, Adegle.

I popped the caps out, FHZ-style How you opened the caps? I tried with mine, but the caps seem to be glued.

To remove the caps just take out the bearing and screw it back together. When it gets harder to twist the end of the axle is pushing against the back of the cap, keep going and the cap will pop out. For the other cap press the axle down on a hard surface and the cap should pop out relatively easily. Unlike an FHZ, you don't have to slam it down on its axle to get the caps off.. Just apply pressure.
Before you remove the caps make sure you have something to stick them back in place. Some type of glue, silicone, etc.

With the Kitty String that mine came with the pads seemed super slippy but when I threw on a Highlights or other standard poly, the binds seemed slightly tighter. Idk if that helps at all, but I am also probably gonna get some cbc's for em.

Binds are light at first but seem to get grippier with some play. Stock strings are great. Nice shape, easy to tune, good for plastic, great for the money. Starlite is better, and the Northstar and Protostars are way better but they arent in the the same price range. I will say that it definitely handles multi-string tricks way better than even the Plastic YYF's, got a dif e yo in mine, noticed it tilted quickly with the stock bearing. This yoyo just lacks any real uumph, feels like a toy.

I changed out the slippy pads for some RTV silicone and the slippiness on the throw and binds is gone. Seriously the best budget plastic out there right now. I'm fine with the little bit of vibe but I might re-seat those caps later on. It's my practice throw when I'm trying to learn new tricks so I don't slam my face with a metal throw.

How floaty is the 44? We measured it on a floaty-o-meter and it scored a 44.

Just picked up a pair and was very dissapointed in the binds. I can pull the string right out on almost every bind. Cant understand why they used such an anemic pad system ? I am going to replace with flow-able as mentioned, and hopefully that will cure the poor binds. Nice yoyo otherwise in most respects. Mine are quite smooth on proper throw and the size is great. I do have to say they play very, very light, I think they are appx 65 grams, but they feel and play much lighter, I find my throw has to very graceful or the yoyo bounces back off the end of the string. I guess it will make for better habits, but it is certainly not the kind of yoyo I can just power into and not worry about. Overall for the price point its hard not to be very impressed. To be honest, I think I had built up a little too much expectation of the throw, so at first I felt a bit let down, but it cost me 10$ 20$ for the set second hand, how critical can I really get.

And so it did bro, its like a totally different yoyo. I checked out the pads I pulled out and rather than being soft and squishy like silicone mine were quite hard and plasticky, I think there might have been an issue with the pads, as soon as I put the real silicone in, they bind up without a problem, both PSG's exactly the same, like you would expect they should. That being the case, one might also expect that some PSG's if they have a softer silicone for the pad, probably work just fine ? Just a thought I had.....lol.
