Both of these have a similar extreme rim weighted design, which is a favorite of mine. I really like the C13 and MVP. Do any of you have experience playing both? Pro's/Con's of each? Thanks!

I've been playing the Decapod for a few weeks now and I still love it. I've been singing praises about this yoyo all over the internet. I'll just say that I really really like it. If you like that shape then you'll love the Decapod. It feels heaver than it's weight but it doesn't feel like a rock on a string. Yes it's vibey, but it's not going to affect play at all. Honestly it vibes no more than any other of the big productions that are sold by other companies. I should be getting some Evil-Yo's in soon so maybe I'll be able to compare then when I get them. I can compare it to the Code1 which is pretty similar in shape.
-Code 1 feels floatier while the Decapod plays heavier. -Code 1 is more oversized while Decapod is more of a normal sized dia. -Decapod feels more stable than the Code 1, but the C1 isn't a slouch. -Both are a hell of a grinder -Decapod doesn't have IGR
That's about all I have right now. I play my Decapod way more than I play my C1 if that's any indication of how much I like it. Really, the only other thing I throw when I'm not throwing my Decapod is my Chief (although my YYR Gliepnir is in and it's growing on my really really fast!). If a month goes by and I haven't posted about the Evil-Yo shoot me a message and I'll give you my thoughts. Might be another week or 2 before they get here though.

So I got my Evil-Yo in and I've been playing around with it for a week or so. Me? I'd go with the Decapod.
-Been having troubles with strings breaking on the Evil-Yo. Thought I may have got a bad string from Twisted Strings. I threw in a Toxic and it didn't last long at all. I'm pretty miffed about it, actually. -Decapod is made from 7075 grade aluminum and it's way cheaper than the EY. You can feel the difference. -Both come with slick packaging. -I tend to prefer regular to oversized yo-yos. EY is an undersized. -The finish of the EY, which I believe to be the culprit of my bad strings, is pretty rough. It grinds very well, but feels abrasive in the hand, not silky smooth. NOTE: The finish on the Mint EY is way nicer than on whatever the crazy name of the other one. -Both come with a Twisted String string. Great string that is very comfortable and durable, unless your EY decides to chew it up. BAD MONKEY! Decapod comes with two! -Decapod felt great from the first throw. It took a day or two to figure out the EY. I'm not easily impressed by a new yo-yo. For me to like one from the first throw is pretty rare. -Decapod is much more forgiving, stable, and spins longer (for me) than the EY. EY will let you know you threw it wrong. Decapod will more than likely correct itself. There's pros and cons of either one depending on how you look at it. -Part of the problem I believe is that the EY feels weird in the hand. So when I go to throw it you have to have the hang of it. The Decapod leaps from my hand like it's done it a million times before. I didn't have to change anything. It naturally does what it does. So maybe that's where I get the feeling that the Decapod spins longer, eats bad throws for breakfast, and gets longer spin times, corrects itself on a bad throw, etc. -Something I don't care for about either; they both come with KK bearings. Would prefer a flat 1D 10-ball. But... -Ten Yoyos deshields, cleans, and lubes each bearing they use before putting it in your throw. I do love this. It is perhaps the only time I've never felt the "need" to switch out my KK for an 1d 10-ball or TX S/C. -Both companies go out of their way to love the customer more than any other companies out there. But it just felt like Ten Yoyo just took it a little bit further. Plus go on their FB page and you'll see Wabbit and Roo on there all the time. It's great. -I do love MonkeyfingeRs design aesthetics and packaging. They are going to rival CLYW it terms of the kind of Culture and vibe that precede their yoyos. I look forward to seeing what they do in the future. I would LOVE to see a full sized version of the Evil-Yo! -Ten Yoyos marketing doesn't dig it's heals in a hipster counter culture niche that makes everyone want to be a part of necessarily (think Apple or CLYW), but they do put thought behind ever single thing they do. The yoyo design, the string, the box, the string, the customer service, etc
I think they're both really great companies. I'm sure if I addressed my string breaking with the guys as MF then they may hook me up in some way (like maybe cleaning up the dings and pits I got from it skittering across the floor after the 25th throw or so on a brand new Twisted String). But to me, it just seems that Roo and Wabbit are putting themselves out there into the community asking people what they think about this or that or what could be done better. I don't have to come to them about issues, they come to me. And it's pretty much been indicative of my whole interactions with Ten Yoyo as a whole. They're a grass roots company who get around and meet people, either on the web or in the throw clubs and interact with folks. I'm not saying MonkeyfingeR doesn't do these things, it's just that I'm not aware of or nor do I feel like I've been a part of it.
Worst problem with the Evil-Yo is that whole string breaking issue. Other than that it'll grow on my. I like the handling and weight when using the yoyo a lot! Love its feel more than my Gnarwhal! But at the end of the day the Decapod is the better yoyo for me and the best value for anyone.
If you have any specific questions about any aspects that I may not have covered please feel free to ask.

Thanks for the review.
We haven't decided what to do with the Decapod yet. We were hoping to sell it to stores, but we weren't happy with the smoothness after all the protos. Its' a great player, I carry one everyday but we don't want it to represent our quality level.
We are working on another design and have a few protos already. Looks like its going to be a winner. It came out smooth right away. Now we are testing to dial in the correct weight/feel for it. Stay tuned.
