Hey guys! I'm new to this forum and to the YoYo community. Could anybody give me their take on the YoYoFactory Genesis Miggy 2? I hear good things but would like to hear it from an actual owner of one. Thanks!

I own a Genesis, and I can honestly tell you it's been one of my best investments I've ever made in a yoyo. It's super stable, nice size (56mm), really great everything. You won't at all be disappointed if you do end up buying it. Personally, I don't have any cons to draw from the yoyo itself.

I have owned the green and the black, they are amazing throws. The weight might take some getting used to but they are smooth and play really well

I don't think anyone has a 2012 Genesis here. The first release is EYYC, which is occurring this weekend.
I felt the Genesis to be a bit sluggish. I preferred the Supernova way more.

You can't beat the Genesis's playability. Having played / owned both a Genesis and a Supernova I highly prefer the Genesis over both. While the Supernova is a good player...I found it...unsatisfying. The Genesis often appears in the BST for very reasonable prices. I'd look into it. There are several editions.
Nice choice on the Miggy edition though.

Just for the sake of clarity and correctness, the Genesis you're referring to is the Throwback Genesis. The reason why it says "Genesis Miggy 2" on it is because it's made as a tribute to the Grind Machine 2, an older yoyo released by YoYoFactory in the Project Red Alert era (~2007). Originally, the Genesis was released without hubstacks, so when YYF decided to release a special edition of the Genesis with hubstacks, people commented on how similar it was to the GM2, so the Throwback edition was a logical progression.
My personal experience with the Throwback Genesis was extremely positive. It's just a great all-around player. If you don't mind throws a teeny bit on the heavy side, then it should work well for you. If you like throws that are more on the mid-light side, the regular Genesis would be a good fit.
