Most people put up all their throws on the bst in case something that that they want even more comes up
Thats exactly what i do. I throw all my throws in my BST. Doesnt mean i necessarily want to get rid of them, but you never know what people will offer. Someone just might have that 1 yoyo you REALLY REALLY want. -xICooRsYIx

I'm going to tell you guys now that there are 4 very distinct variations of the Chief and they all play quite different.
If you have the B-grade "machining mistake" ones, consider yourself to have the best playing ones, IMO.

I'm going to sell my Chief simply because I bought 2. I bought another one as I wanted a different color.

I have a chief and it's not listed. But then again my girlfriend got it for me as a present as it came out a few weeks before my birthday therefore I won't get rid of it.
I would however love another colorway, I have the northern lights edition and it's great but it's dark and wouldn't look good on stage if I were to compete as it is the throw I'd prolly use.
I would only ever trade it for another chief in a brighter colorway or perhaps in the lighter edition as I'm curious as to how the lighter run plays.
\ My Girlfriend bought me mine as well for Xmas. I got the one I wanted, Musket Chief, and it will never be for sale or trade. She would kill me!

This has got to be some sort of record for quoting the same picture the most times. Not even close. Not even close to close to close to close. Funny, I remember Elephark totally blowing up on me cause I quoted a photo lol, it was my first time quoting one too!
Needless to say, I haven't done it since This is such a heartwarming story.

when you list a chief minutes after release with a "coming in the mail" legend, that's scalping. obviously you gonna get decent to good offers for it. I can tell you I bought the light version and my best friend the heavy version, both are great.
Heavy and light version? I have not heard of that how many grahms differnt are they?

I don't know dude, according to what I've read on their twitter it's just weight difference. 1st run light 2nd run heavy 3rd run light 4th run heavy and that was it.

The reason why they have different weights and play differently is because the machinist and machines are different. It means there is no way to get it exactly the same. If you were to add or subtract the weight from a solid object, you would most definitely have to subject it to a different weight distribution if you were to keep the same shape and size.

Chris has come clean to me, so I think I trust what he has to say. 1st run plays the most light-weight. 3rd run actually plays very close to the 2nd run. My friends couldn't tell the difference between the second and the third.

Scalping Winning
LMAO! I've seen the old "i brought 2 so i could trade one for a different colour" excuse loads if times. I'd bet 90% of the time they trade the yoyo for 2-3 other high end metals to someone whose gagging for the throw he missed out on buying (probably because lots of dudes brought 2 of them)

I have the first run chief ... which i played for two weeks straight ..... or however long it was until the second run came out ... and then when i got the 2nd run ... i noticed a huge difference in the weight ... i guess i noticed the difference because i was only playing with the 1st run chief
anyways... i prefer the second run one > 1st run ... i actually considered trading my 1st run chief for a canvas ... because i only play with the second one .. but after i put it up and got so many offers .. it really made me realize that I should just hold on to it ...

I think that you should hang onto your 1st run Chief. I've been such a huge fan of both the Avalanche and the Sasquatch that I immediately bought into the canvas/chief hype big time. To be truthful I believed that the Chief would be similar to either the Avalanche or the Sasquatch. Boy, was I wrong! When the Canvas dropped I had no cash so, that was a no show. When the Chief dropped I was fortunate enuff to slip into the 4 min. window and ordered myself a 1st. run gold Chief. I imagined that every one has gone thru this but, on my first throw of the Chief I did the world's most lazy throw expecting the the Chef to magically correct. It did not. I thought @ first it was light/floppy and unstable. Wrong again I was! After using some of my "Jedi mind control tactics" and setting aside some of my "Jeez,I wished this yoyo was one gram heavier" thoughts I've become enthralled with the Chief . It's now my goto yo. I still dream about having a Canvas but, due to the lack of any major excitement threads (on this or any other forum) praising the play of the the Canvas, it remains "meh" to me.

tet definitely has the most insight on this topic, so I would listen to him.
I have 2 3rd runs, an A and a B grade. they play light and fast, but still move deliberately.
