What kind of response does a basslope use?

SB bassalopes use a "small" size pad, although .555 size pads will work too.

Large bearing bassalopes use a standard clyw silicone groove.

.555 will leave too much space in between the inner diameter of the pad and the bearing. The Duncan silicone stickers fit, so try to find something that size. Pads that are often sold in .555 size can be found for D sized bearing yoyos as well, such as Dif pads. Those would leave the gap smaller than using a .555, though I'm not sure how much would still be there. I just suggest one or two Duncan silicone stickers. I had those in mine and it was totally sweet.

I'm pretty sure that the response groove is too shallow for silicone and I would just rip right out if it's a small bearing model, which I don't believe you ever specified. If it's a large bearing model you can silicone it no problem.

It won't stay in well at all.

If it does stay in, it will either wear out fast or rip out fast.

I received a small bearing Bassalope off BST(I knew it was small bearing going into the deal). The seller siliconed it and had been using it that way. 10 throws, it was worn out.

I put in 12mm Duncan Silicone stickers. It's playing great now!

The most frustrating thing is when you need pads the cost a dollar , but you still have to pay 3 to 4 dollars
 shipping depending what site anyone know of a site with cheap shipping.
