HOW DO YOU APPLY YOYOJAM FLAT SILICONE O-RINGS?
« on: December 06, 2011, 04:11:54 PM »

I am going to buy them soon, I have tried and failed with flowable silicone many times. But how do you apply them, do they come with glue or something, or is one side of the o-ring adhesive? I've got  a Dark Magic II.

Yeah they have adhiesive on one side so you just find which side has paper on it, peel it off and slap it in the response groove. Easy huh? Afro

Yeah, thanks!! Looks like MUCH less hassle than flowable silicone, used to get in the bearing seat and everything! And then it would always come out after an hour of play, even when I've left it for 48 hours!

Wow, what brand are you using? Flowable silicone is usually pretty easy to apply and should last weeks or months depending on how heavy you play it.

I used Versachem Flowable silicone that I got from Euro Yo. But it's all fine, I'll buy a bunch of o-rings and that should last me a while! Because the flowable silicone kept failing, I left yoyoing for a while, and now I realise how much I miss it Smiley

Hmm... that's off because I use Versachem too. Maybe it's just an error in application because a lot of the time I don't even let it cure for the full 24 hours and it works fine for a good while. Anyway, glad to see that you're throwing again, and don't hesitate to post or PM me with any other maintenance or general yoyo related questions and I'll be glad to help Smiley

Thanks!! The o-rings should arrive by tomorrow! Thanks for the help, ratfacedudeguy (interesting name!) and what yoyo should I get after the DMII (if I should get one)? Alright, I'm being a bit ambitious, but is there any good, full metal yoyo under 30pounds? I am learning Kwijibo at the moment, and I am thinking of getting a new yoyo, for a change. Thanks!

For under 30 pounds (~$47 USD) your options on full metals are going to be pretty limited. I'd personally recommend seeing if you can get a good deal on the b/s/t board or just save up until you can afford to put out a little more money for a nice one. Really the time to upgrade is all up to you to determine. Nothing wrong with wanting some new stuff from time to time Afro
