String Tension: I need Help
« on: December 03, 2011, 12:52:34 PM »

I have been looking around at the tricks, and find people talking about string tension.  I think I understand what it is, but I do not know what to to do about it.  I eventually want to learn really advanced string tricks, and I believe my ignorance will probably hinder me.  Any help to "control" (I do not know the correct term for it) string tension would be incredibly helpful.

P.S. I have not mastered the art of creating topics in their appropriate board, so if this is out of place, please move it.

Or, you can play 5A in a double dice setup  Afro

string tension management is one of the reasons (not the main) I don't really play 1A anymore, I can deal with it, but it just bothers me big time.

other than that, the vid above is a good technique, there are many others out there.

if you don't want to deal with it, once you get the string too twisted, just practice suicides for a little while, they actually untwist the string when you do much of them in a row
