Polish?
« on: November 30, 2011, 09:48:33 PM »

Does anyone out there use any type of polish on their metal yoyos? I've had my Cafe Racer (first metal) for a few weeks now and I've noticed that it's sort of getting a little sticky from the dirt and sweat from my hands... I don't like it... so I was wondering, does anyone use polish on their yoyos and if so, whats good and doesn't damage the paint or anodization?

Polish probably will not give you the results your looking for. It should really only be used on raw aluminum. Your best bet actually would probably be to put a small bit of baking soda on a wet paper towel and wipe the yoyo down. You should see the dirt and grime residue on the paper towel to let you know it's working. After that just make sure you thoroughly wipe the yoyo down with a fresh paper towel before you put the bearing back in because the baking soda residue could gunk it up pretty bad.
