Nonvideo trick sites
« on: November 26, 2011, 06:40:55 AM »

OMG!! i used to use that old sector y site that teaches tricks using pictures because some tricks were easier to learn fo me like that.  all of a sudden its not there anymore.  there is still a goole link to it but no site and sector y 2.0 doesnt have that same picture set up.  i know i saw at least one other site that was almost exactly like it but i cant remember whaat it was.  anybody know of any trick learning sites like this?
Edit: great and all the pics on kwos are down

I think the standard is video now. which is too bad, pictures and texts are so much clearer and easy to understand.

True.

The only thing that needs videos is Pen Spinning cause it's never easy to understand.

How floaty is the 44?
Quote from: YoYoFactory

We measured it on a floaty-o-meter and it scored a 44.

the thing with vids, is that Andre Boulay and a couple of others set a very high standard in video tutorials, but most "amateur" tutorials don't come even close to the level of "understandability" that YYE or Rethink yoyo have, for example.

I've came across a few written tutorials with schematics, they were so easy to get compared to 99% of the vids out there.

i belive illistgrated and video tutorials both have thier place.  with illistrations, its easier to for exomple highlight strings and you can illistrate it at different points during the yoyos movements.  i could never understand what i was doing wrong in mondial untill i saw it drwn out.  videos ar good tho because for tricks like skin the gerbil, there is a certin flow to it that you would never be able to relate through pictures or words
