Hey guys, Quick question, does dinging a metal yoyo affect the way it plays at all? Like, tilt, vibe, spin time, overall stability etc. Reason i'm asking is I just got a YYF Popstar (Woo!) and I know that no matter how careful I am it's going to get a ding or 10 eventually. Cheers for any help. PS: Tried googling for an answer but I couldn't find one.

Some dings will, some ding won't.. Some dings take a lot of loving and some dings don't...
It's all very hit and miss...

If it is a massive ding, like you curb-stomped it or something, then it might. But if it's not deep at all, then it should be fine. Just sand it down a little, as some dings are sharp.

dinging the yoyo may cause warping in the body shape, which causes wobble and a whole world of problems. Probably not an issue with such a dense little yoyo like the popstar.
What dinging a metal yoyo WON'T do is bend the axle. Don't let anybody tell you that. Axles are generally made of steel, which is harder than aluminum the yoyo is made out of. The body gives way before the axle does.
