Icthus late on shipping by more than 2 months????
« on: November 09, 2011, 09:53:06 PM »

Hey guys, a while back (over 2 months) i sent my 2009 severe to Casey Moss to be retapped and in return I would anodize 2 of his yo-yos. I shipped it out and waited...and waited......and waited. I have sent numerous messages to him asking if he has shipped yet. He usually said, not yet but i will get to it as soon as possible. I gave him a lot of time since i knew he was a good guy. Two months went by and i contacted him again. He apologized for the lateness and offered a free agape as compensation for being late. I was happy with that and he said he would ship out the next day. That was almost two weeks ago... Now i send him messages and he wont respond to them even though he is active everyday on the forums. Has anyone else had this experience with Icthus?

Dude, he's giving you a free agape.

I'm not quite sure if this post sounded rude or not (lol) but if it wasn't intended to be rude, I apologize.

I know icthus, he def. is a good guy.

I know for sure hes a good guy, but the thing is now i think he is just ignoring my messages, which isnt a good idea considering he is 63 days late for shipping, but i was okay with it being late and a free agape, just that he is active every day and he wont respond to my messages anymore

I don't care how "good" someone is or much feedback they have, there is no excuse for ignoring someone when you owe them something.

A while back I was ripped off by a guy who had tons of positive feedback and was active on the forums. Everyone said, "Don't worry, he's deffo a good guy." Well, it's been over a year and everyone's "good" guy still ripped me off.

Not saying this will happen to you - just irritates me when you present facts and everyone goes, "Oh, he's deffo a good guy" and don't take note of the issue at hand.

He may be a nice guy, but I believe what all of us want is rather a person who knows how to take care of their business done quick.

My experience with him:
I bought an Agape from him, I waited and waited and waited and waited........
I finally got a refund 2 month later.

He couldn't even send what he has sold. You think he'll send you a free yo-yo anytime soon?
I don't know how long it'll take him to send it, but you'll eventually get it.

He has work to do and got children to take care of. He's too busy to send anything to anyone.

Here's my advice to all of you guys. If you're going to deal with him,
be aware it might a month or even more to get what you want.

We all have jobs to go to, kids to take care of, homes to maintain, school to go too, whatever it may be, thats called life, if you cant deal with life and selling a yoyo, then don't do it.

Wow! Much love to me. I have to admit I have had a hard time sending things out. Some of it was just my fault but for the most part I've been working till after the usps closes and even on saturdays. I apologize but it happens. I usually make it worth the persons while by giving I'm sorry gifts. If you can't wait then don't send it to me. My family comes first and you guy's second. I'm sorry but that is all I can say right now. Oh and England, It's going out today.

I'm waiting a couple of items from him. While I'm getting a bit impatient, his communication has been excellent. I work 24X7 myself(being self employed in industries that don't keep schedules doesn't help) and I often have difficult making outgoing shipments due to having to take the work when it comes in.

Recently, I was in a pressure cooker situation trying to get a replacement amp module for an active subwoofer module with the company that makes the stuff. That communication broke down but fortunately it was handed off to the NEW distributor. They ended up having to yank an amp module out of a working unit and overnight it to me. In this case, we're talking about an item critical to my business. Currently, yoyo isn't.

Icthus has his priorities in order. Sometimes its annoying that it may inconvenience some of us. He's definitely one of the good guys.

I agree that work and family comes first, but when someone pays you for a service, and you delay for 3 months, that's a problem. 1 - 2 weeks understandable, depending on the situation, but a few months is a long time ...

Gotta love them double standards, in the first post in this forum, we have a guy getting worked over for being two weeks late, and then there this debacle.
But Icthus is a good guy.
So let me see if I can get this straight.... if your one of the good guys, you can delay shipping till whenever you feel like it. Come on Sebastian Brock Kyle Weems, Icthus etc... these guys are notorious for not shipping till htye feel like it, or can afford it or whatever, but they are all still good guys .
Too me a person who doesn't keep his word, who lies over and over, is not a good guy.
You are running a massive a double standard, and frankly it kinda sucks lemons.
If dealing with the good guys on BST means you just might have to put up with them getting their life in order, for several months, or six, ill pass.
Good Guys.
LOL.

Icthus, does any post office in your area have an APC? It's seriously saved my butt on several occasions where I was slammed with stuff to do all day. I've printed labels and prepped shipments at midnight on several occasions. Not that I'd enthusiastically recommend it or anything, but hey at least it got my shipments out in a timely manner. Honestly though, online shipping is the way to go. You don't have to go anywhere, you don't even necessarily have to put the package outside. If there will be someone home at the time your mail carrier usually makes it to your house, you can set it so that the carrier will knock on the door and collect it from whoever's home -- usually a good idea for those who aren't comfortable with leaving packages unattended on their home's premesis. I honestly thought with the implementation of the APCs and online shipping, problems like this would begin to disappear, but then again I do acknowledge that everyone's situation is different and these conveniences may not be available in some areas.

How does shiping late make you a bad person? He admitted he was at fault and is throwing in extras. He accepted responsibility and has made it known he's a slow shipper. If you can't handle that, don't deal with him. But don't insult him. You don't know him personally, so you have no right to insult him. Quit being a jerk.
