Double Wrist Whip Help

Hi all, I am working on a double wrist whip. I have the single down but am having trouble with the double. Do you want to have the first loop pass inside the yoyo (closer to your body), then have the second loop pass outside the yoyo for the catch? If I do the first loop to the outside I get the string wraped around my wrsit. Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, something like that. During the flourish the string simply revolves around the yoyo like you're drawing a big circle with your hand, it shouldn't wrap around anything until you do the wrist whip itself.
