Hey all, here it goes  1) Is it necessary to cut the string to the appropriate length (aka at the belly). Because it seems troublesome for me to cut it everytime. 2) When putting on a new string, do I need multiple loop on the bearing or just one loop? ( I'm using a YYF Genesis) 3) After playing Genesis for quite sometimes, It gets harder and harder to bind. Is this normal ? 4) Why does my yoyo string tension keep messing up? I can't get it to remain perfectly straight, without winding itself. 5) Will playing yoyo in a smaller place build up bad habits ? due to space limists, I can't throw a perfect breakaway, I have to alter the angle of Throw if you get what I mean. Thanks for the heads up

1. You can use whatever string length feels comfortable to you. longer string is just fine. The string length does change the speed, longer = slower, shorter = faster
2. 1 loop is the standard setup for unresponsive play. 2 or more loops will make the yo-yo more responsive.
3. Binding getting harder could be a number of things. Usually its Worn down response stickers or worn down silicone. It could be your string is getting worn down and thinner, in which case you can try a new or thicker string. You can also just adjust your bind and make a bigger loop.
4. Keeping the String tension neutral is always an issue no matter what string you use. Some tricks tighten the string and some tricks loosen it. I always use a string adjustment trick where you pop the yo-yo up just a little and pull the string off to either the right or left side to either loosen or tighten it. There's an easier trick called "good vibrations" that you can search for that works as well
5. No, it shouldn't really devolope bad habits. If anything it may help your yo-yoing ability

Everything you said is spot-on. I am going to add a little bit of info, though. String tension is something that everyone has to deal with. It can be a real pain, but you'll eventually get used to constantly adjusting it to keep neutral tension. The best way to start is spinning the yoyo in either direction until the tension is perfectly neutral. Throw a few tricks and take a look at your tension again. Depending on which way the string is tensioned, spin the yoyo a few rotations in either direction until the tension is neutral. As you progress you'll lean what tricks cause what tension and you'll be able to adjust accordingly. You'll also lean tricks that can quickly and easily adjust tension (just as Doug77 said) in either direction. The only thing you need to learn is which way you need to twist the string. That will come with time, so just keep practicing! About your confined space. I throw in a very small room with a very low ceiling. I've put a few holes in the walls/ceiling over the past year, but I can assure you that your skills won't be hindered due to your lack of space. I can throw just as easily in my tiny "yoyo room" as I can in my front yard or deck. You'll find it very easy to adjust to a larger/smaller space with time. Good luck and have fun!
