Thanks for the comments.  Surprised what a black light did.  These are just straight off the camera with no editing or software changes. 
As others have mentioned you don't need a dslr.  An 8-9 yr old Canon 4 megapixel point n shoot here. 
Messed with exposure and light placement basically.  Some aperture.  Text was added in PS and some stray bad pixels fixed but the rest is camera only.  It was fun for sure.  Neon yellow string 'pops' even more.
