I see that my original colorway idea is quite popular. Of course all credits go to Jason though for making it look amazing! Haha.

May I ask what yoyo that is? It looks interesting.
It's not anything that ever went into production unfortunately. It was a scrap half from BBYY yoyos. I do agree it's a cool design. Jason Oh yeah, I think I saw a picture of one before. Forgot to tell you, that looks really awesome!

Loaded YoYo: Lucky CanvasI anodized this Canvas as part of a trade for Preinfalk. Laid two clover stencils on each side in dark green and then mixed a custom bright green / yellow acid wash. I used a slightly different technique for the acid washing to give it a slightly more dramatic look as opposed to a soft wash.

Loaded YoYo: "Rasta Traffic" Omnicron XI was experimenting with several new techniques on this yoyo. The design is inspired by the "Harlequin Sumo" a beautiful ano job done on a BrokenYoYos Sumo. This job was very difficult and took a long time to complete. Unfortunately, I encountered a problem with the racking system and had to drill out some of the wire that broke off in the axle hole. I didn't realize how thin the aluminum was in the spikes, and to my extreme frustration, I drilled through one of the spikes. Grrrr! Despite the hole, the yoyo screws together, assembles and plays perfectly. (I was careful not to damage the threads when removing the wire.) Oh well. I'm going to sell this yoyo at a very deep discount on the BST ($45 shipped) SOLD. This yoyo would make a beautiful/fantastic every day carry or regular player. This colorway proved to be a very good learning experience. Look for a similar colorway on a future yoyo... with spikes intact next time.

Wow. You have gotten REALLY good at stenciling/masking w/e you want to call it.
That Omnicron is just spectacular. If I hadn't just bought 3 yoyos I would snatch that up in a second.

I was definitely humbled by the response for the Captain America Chief on ebay today! I've received payment for the yoyo already, as well as several inquiries from bidders who just missed the winning price. Thanks to everyone who participated and for all the appreciative compliments over the past year of anodizing!

quit your job and make your living with anodizing I'd be afraid anodizing would then be work and wouldn't be fun anymore! Next up I have a pretty amazing batch of yoyos from Graou and X3. Lots of awesome prototypes and some of their newer releases. I will confess that I have been finding more and more yoyos looking very similar to already existing designs nowadays. I think that's because many manufacturers are designing 'competition' grade throws which optimize for stability, speed, catch zone, etc. I have no problem with this other than the fact that I'm not at a skill level to really 'push' a yoyo, so many competition grade throws tend to feel and play similarly to me. It was very refreshing to open up the X3 package and see some really different almost 'weird' designs. Fun, unique and different while still being great players. Ok, enough of my design rant. Pretty picture time... Loaded YoYo: Silver Skittles ZeusMatthieu sent me all the yoyos polished, but wanted them grindable, so I tumbled them prior to anodizing. The result is something that grinds great and imparts a very matte finish to the yoyo. I'm looking to tweak up my tumbler settings to see if I can get a grindable slightly shinier finish in addition to the matte one.

Thanks! That splatter/splash combo is something I have been trying to perfect lately. This Zeus is probably one of the best examples of it.
