How to deal with the nozzle after using RTV??

How do you guys deal with the nozzle after using RTV so that it can be used next time without any problem???

I stick a wooden skewer in it when I'm not using it.

I usually just let mine dry up.  Then use a something to push the solid silicone out of the nozzle the next time I need it (usually a wire coat hanger does the trick).  At first I tried cleaning the still liquid sili out of the nozzle right after using it, but quickly found it wasn't worht the effort.
