Bearing help
« on: September 11, 2011, 08:15:51 PM »

I got my dark magic 2 yoyo and I right away put the speed bearing in... So today the third day of yo-yoing  I started to hear a louder noise and now the sting catches the yoyo since the bearing slowed down. I don't know what to do. Is the bearing done for? Or should I put some wd40 on it since I don't have specific lube?

Clean the bearing.  Just search clean a bearing on the forums.  WD40 just slows down the bearing.

Thanks guys I heard the lighter fluid will make the bearing wear more quickly. Is this true?

I don't know about lighter fluid making the bearing wear faster, but a lot of people use lighter fluid as a solvent to clean bearings and break down lube.
