Did you ever think that you have to replace your silicone everyday and clean your bearing all the time? Back when I had a Dark Magic, I felt that I had to replace the silicone in the oring groove everyday. And I could never keep the bearing clean. Now, I never clean the bearing and replace the silicone probably once every 3 months.
My teacher once asked, "If I have 3 bottles in this hand and 2 bottles in this hand, what do I have?" " I replied with, "A drinking problem?" Best reason to get sent to the principles office....ever
Not necessarily. I only change my silicone [as I do them myself] when the response falls off/rips out. I really don't see the need of changing my response every single day..especially that most of my throws aren't even my main ones and my main throw has nice tight binds no matter how worn out my response and/or string is. As of the bearings, I only clean them once every two months...or when I feel is necessary. Again, I follow Ed Haponik's advice to just let do the bearings its job and not care too much about it :]

I think I need to stop reading too much forum threads and start yoyoing for once.
I change the silicone when it is not super tight which is how I like it . Also I never clean my bearings unless something is wrong with them. Even if I overlube I just break in the lube.
