Slippy binds with my Tfl
« on: August 23, 2011, 06:26:24 PM »

So, I got my old Tfl to work decently, threw some chaz pads in, and it worked pretty well for a couple of days. Now the binds slip so much, and it's so hard to get a good throw, so what should I do?

Chaz Pads are pretty thin for a recess that deep. Pick up some thicker ones and you'll be set.

I'd prefer not to have to buy pads, so silicone is what I'm going to try

Try taking a pencil eraser and rubbing it over your chaz pads first.  That may solve your problem.

I think the recess might be too thin to accept silicone. Not for sure on this though, so you may want to check beforehand just to be sure. If it's a .555 recess, you may have some good luck with Gen Pads, which is what I put in my old Pacquiao to address the same issue and it worked amazingly.

The recess in a TFL is deeper than a thick dif.. try a ghost pad in each side or silicone for tight snappy binds Wink
