Oxygene H20 Question
« on: August 17, 2011, 02:25:15 AM »

I know it has an adjustable gap, but I'm not sure how to use it. Anyone know how?

I believe you just screw it or unscrew it a little until you have the gap width that you want.

That's correct. If you start with the halves apart and start tightening them together, there is a point at which the halves will sort of catch and you get more resistance. From there you can keep tightening to make the gap smaller, or stop, and leave the gap at its full width.

Don't worry, it's not very fragile at all, the axle is made of titanium.

I've an Oxy 3 from 2004 that was beat to hell and the gap adjustament still works like the first day.

It shouldn't be a problem unless you leave it way open. I thought the adjustment system was more for zero vibe tunage than for gap width, i've never heard it used for that purpose.

Does your have all 3 O-rings? 1 to keep the bearing in. A smaller on the axle to make it adjustable and the last small one to add resistance. If you are missing the last 2 you can just have 1 hubstack o-ring on it.

2 is what they came with. The third is optional if you want a big gap.

Just use a stack o-ring off a YYF yoyo as the 3rd ring,
they're thicker than the original o-ring and give a tighter grip at wide gap settings

If you haven't got one.. shoot me a PM..
