So, I was yoyoing with my friend's Dark Magic II today and I was going to try 1/2a and I grabbed the yoyo from the wrong side, and it overtightened it. Is there anything I can do? Or do I owe my friend $40? On each side, there is a metal piece (It's what holds the axle in place). On one side, that piece spins when I try and unscrew it. What should I do to hold it still?

You're pretty much screwed. I would try to slam the side that's spinning out and put a dab of super glue on it and hammer it back in.

"floaty" is undefined and it should be avoided

Which way will it come out?

When I strip my yoyo's I usually use hot glue or loctite to hold the stripped side in. Do nothing to the good side. I would still replace the DM but this will make it play. If not done properly it may vibe a bit....make sure you keep the axle straight when you affix the axle to the stripped side.

It will play now, it just won't come unscrewed.

Try pulling slightly outward as you try to unscrew it. If the axle piece is spinning, it may have to be braced before it can be released.
