I own 22 yos and this is by FAR the best. 3 words people: FAST, LONG-SPINNING, SMOOOOTH. If you're new to YoyoJams, buy one of these. If you like Hybrid response also buy a Patriot. Sleeps long, but not very good for grinds. Its wide profile makes it great for smooth string catches. This yo is good for Intermediate to advanced. If you own a Spinfaktor you have no idea what power these posess(They both weigh 63g, but the Journey is so much smoother on the string). White ones look great with orange string. If you prefer less response, you'll like this mod (I'm not a beginner anymore). Here's how to do it: With a pin, remove the o-rings. You'll find that the recess isn't very deep. Next, to make it deeper. Take a pocket knife (the knife part) and position it in the recess. Now begin to turn the yo, while firmly holding the knife against the bottom of the recess. You should see plastic shreds collecting on the knife. Every 10 or so turns, take away the knife and blow into the recess to remove excess plastic. This process makes the recess deeper. Frequently put the o-rings back in to see how low they sit, compared to what it used to be. keep doing this until the o-rings sit even with the flush of the yo (or until desired response). Warning: If Journey is opaque, orings may be visible after mod. I am not responsible for accidental damage during modding. Results may vary. My only complaint is that i think mine is trying to incompacitate me. Once it flew off the string during a trapese and and the sidecap hit me in the nose. And how is this yo-yo considered beginner if it's unresponsive??? I'm a semi-intermediate user this yo-yo is just weird and not really worth getting First of all, The rims are not weighted. and the spin times are terrible. Plus, it wobbles most of the time to one side straight out of the box no matter how accurate your throw it,/ what bearing or what lube you put to it. Wouldn't recommend it over all. (especially for beginners) I'd start with one of the Yomega Power Brain Wing or a Gamma Brain that has 2 switches for manual and auto return then work your way to a Dark Magic or a New Breed depending on what response you desire. Uhh... well, if your used to mosquito which are light weight, super-responsive, and small, going to a legacy which is heavy, unresponsive and large, will be like a culture shock, and m,ay actually make you dislike it.
