It features a more rounded shape with the now-famous Hybrid response system (one half uses the yo-ring response system, the other half uses a starburst response system). Author: ed haponik i'm not a huge fan of the shape. it feels like a McDLT. inner ring grinds are easy on this one, and it is a good yo-yo for 5a (at which i stink). i just never really "got" this one the way i do a lot of yoyojams. i did play a dual o-ring one once and i liked it much better (and no, i'm not an all o-ring all the time guy). Author: Jovanni Like ed said im not a huge fan of this shape either. I personally think that you are better off getting a kickside than this yo-yo. The only cool thing aboout this yo-yo is that you can balance it one your thumb. Which I think is really hard. But if your into that burger kind of shape than this is the yo-yo for you. Author: yoyoyear I've been wondering what this more rounded shape would feel like and it's pretty cool. Feels really good in the hand. It's not very responsive out of the box so I might thick lube the bearing. It's heavier than most yoyos at 71 grams so you have to put some muscle in the throw but it is very stable. To me it feels like a heavier, rounder, larger hitman. The massive shiny aluminum rims don't hurt your hand when it pops back...feels really comfy. The pogs are sunk in deep like a hitman and the rims have extremely deep undercuts. I guess thats for grinding. Cool yoyo...different shape than the Hitman but the throw feels almost the same. More spin though...heavier rims. Author: DudeofYo I tried John Narum's and it's so cool! I got one and its so smooth. It doesn't grind that well stock. Bearing cleaned it works great. Slimmer yet heavier than the Hitman; more comfortable in the hand. Under the caps the axle stub is indented so you can spin tit on your thumb (I haven't tried it yet though). The rings are undercut for ring grinds, but what's a ring grind? Fast and smooth on the string. looks good with green Highlight string. The blue ones are really nice aqua blue (which is what I have). Great yoyo for 1A and 5A (though it hurts temporarily to do 5A because I minorly injured my hand). Bearing cleaned, 5/5. I'm going to silicone it soon (on the o-ring side= duh). Author: yoyoyear I've got a bunch of YYJ's And the stock bearings in most of them work great. But I've gotten a few with bearings that were so gunked up with factory lube that I thought the yoyo's were bad. They would hardly spin more than a half minute. Then I realized...duh...Thin lube. Now the gunked up ones are working great. With the Black Knight it was just the opposit. Stock out of the box It was dead unresponsive. Binds were fine but I got no tugback at all. I like some responsive play so it was pissing me off. Then I thought uh..thick lube...now it's excellent. I don't know why factory lube in bearings is not more consistant but try tuning with lubes before you give up on a yoyo. Author: JUMP I just ordered one and I hope it comes soon. I hope it will be the kind of 5a yoyo that will take my 5a skills to the next level. By the way, does anybody know any good mods for this yoyo? I looked all over the entire forum and I couldn't find anything about the Black Knight! Author: JUMP My YYJ Black Knight just came in the mail and i can honestly say that it's the best YYJ yoyo I own. The rounded rims feel great and hyper smooth. It basicly has the same weight and size of the YYJ Dark Magic, and even the same response system (hybrid). This is also the best YYJ yoyo to use the hybrid response. Its's much better than the Dark Magic, Hitman, and Hybrid Hitman. Great for 5a because of the wide gap. It's really good if you put is some medium sized Merc shims. This makes it a LOT smoother than just playing with it stock. The best counter weight for it (in my opinion) is the Heavy Yellow Duncan Bouncy Ball. Over all, this is an amazing YYJ yoyo for an amazing price. Get yous today!
