Works well but the return can be weird on some tricks. Buy more then one if you really like it because it breaks easily. The sleep is o.k for the price and the control you get is o.k. too. Author: Panda I changed my mind. THe yo yo is pretty durable but when you change strings you have to double wrap it around the axil. Author: Ender Its good stress relief but not much else. It lets your learn how to sleep and some tricks, but its annoying when in the middle of a trick it grabs and smacks you. Once you learn longer tricks than you have to by a new yo yo. Author: Uncle Yoey I happened upon one of these in the mid 1980s at a science store in the mall when they first came out. At the time I hadn't played in several years and owned nothing but a few cheap Duncans - Butterflies and Imperials. I bought it out of curiosity, and over the next several months, I threw that thing a million times at least. It is the yo-yo that got me hooked for life. That thing is still lying around the house and has been abused by my kids (who weren't born till 1996) and their friends almost daily. AND IT STILL WORKS GREAT! I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are durable beyond belief. There are now 3 or 4 "other" brain yoyos (various "X" models) in the house and the original design from 1985 still out performs them. They are ALL durable and fun for beginners though. This not a good yoyo for any advanced tricks. The automatic nature of it works against you the moment you go beyond 'walk the dog' and 'around the world', but it is still a fantastic "tool" for any true beginner and will last a long time. I still enjoy mine, but in a much simpler way than I do my Spinmaster 2. The curiosity factor alone makes this a 3.5 star yo-yo. Author: Nick Grooms GOOD BEGINNER YOYO!
