The outpouring of support from the yo-yo community has been overwhelming. We sold out of our second batch of HELP HAITI yo-yos within two days! Thanks to everyone who contributed the cause, and thanks to YoYoFactory as well for coming together with us on this.

A second $1,000 donation has been made to Doctors Without Borders.

We just received a new batch of the HELP HAITI yoyos! Once again, 100% of the proceeds will be going to charity to help earthquake victims in Haiti. Help out by picking up one, or two, or ten (yes, someone ordered ten!). Support a good cause, and get a yoyo out of the bargain. Just do it quick, before they’re all gone!

Thanks to everyone in the community who supported YoYoFactory’s and YoYoNation’s HELP HAITI venture. We sold out unbelievably fast, which means $1,000 going directly to help the relief efforts in Haiti! We’ve chosen Doctors Without Borders to receive the donation because in Pat’s words:

1.) I’ve donated to them before
2.) They lost folks over there
3.) They were one of the first to react
4.) They will probably be some of the last few to leave

As i’m sure most of you are aware, an earthquake measuring around 7.0 on the Richter scale recently struck the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince. With sources estimating the death toll around the 50,000 mark, countless more injured and unspeakable levels of damage, the people of Haiti are in desperate need of food, water and medicine as well as manpower and equipment to help clear some of the wreckage.

So what can we do to help? YoYoFactory approached us with the idea of this special edition “Help Haiti” wooden yo-yo and we had no hesitation in helping the cause. These yo-yos will be sold through our store for $10, and every cent of this will go to help the people in need in Haiti.

Timescale is somewhat unknown, but with the dire circumstances involved, obviously time is of the essence. YoYoFactory aim to have these out the door to us by close of business today and you can rest assured we will have them up and available for sale as soon as possible.
