YoYoNation Affiliate Program
YoYoNation is constantly striving to bring its customers the newest and best products available for yo-yo players and enthusiasts. The “DIY” attitude that has developed in the yo-yo community in the past decade has led to some incredible products, and helped many players pay their own way to contests and events…and even turn their hobby into a full-fledged business.
With this in mind, YoYoNation is pleased to announce its new Affiliate Program, aimed at small “homebrew” manufacturers with unique and interesting products they wish to share with the community.
The idea is simple: If you are a small, independent manufacturer who is just getting started and trying to build a market for your products, YoYoNation is willing to partner with you to help you promote your products, and allow you the opportunity to sell your product direct to consumers through our new “Homebrew” forum. The “Homebrew” forum is a subforum of our popular “Buy/Sell/Trade” forum, and will be reserved exclusively for small, indie manufacturers who have been approved through YoYo Nation.
If you meet YYN’s requirements, the plan is simple: You offer your products directly for sale through the YYN Homebrew forum, and in exchange you give a small sample of your products each month to YYN to be promoted through their stores, blog, and website. Your samples will be randomly inserted into orders placed with YYN within a given timeframe, allowing random players a chance to sample your product and increasing your exposure to potential customers.
Requirements:
1. Your total retail sales are less than $1,000/month.
2. You maintain positive feedback, with no unresolved complaints.
3. You conduct yourself in a positive manner on the Homebrew forum, and all other YYN forums.
4. Your product does not infringe on any intellectual property (i.e. patents, trademarks, etc.)
Sampling Guidelines:
Small Accessories (String, Counterweights etc):
- Run of 50 or less, YYN gets 5 to give away
- Run of > 51 YYN gets 10 to give away
Yo-Yos
- Run of 20 or less, YYN gets 1 to give away
Services (Modding, anodizing, etc)
- YYN provides two yo-yos per month to be modded/anodized/whatever to
be given away.
Other
- For any products / services that do not fall under one of the above categories, please contact info@yoyonation.com
Our hope with this program is that we can continue to assist independent designers and developers in fine-tuning their products and finding their market. As your business grows, YYN will be watching closely to consider working with you as a full-fledged wholesale vendor for YYN, and will be happy to assist you in reaching that goal.
We feel this is a fair and equitable manner for allowing small manufacturers the use of the YYN forums to test, sell, and promote their products, while providing them with the additional benefit of promotion through sampling and YYN’s considerable exposure through media outlets, yo-yo related and otherwise.
