Yo-Yo Technological Feat of the Day
This guy mashes up a Night Moves 2 with the infrared camera from a Nintendo WiiMote, enabling him to track the movement of a yo-yo on his computer screen. A+ for effort.

Holy cow, we remember this Sesame Street segment about the Yellow Yahoo. We must have been 4 when we last saw it. Classic.
A really nice yo-yo photo submission to JPG Magazine today:
Excellent photography, and we’re curious: can anyone identify the subject from his ink and/or description (”a finalist at the 2006 US Nationals in Chico, California and now has a t-shirt contract”)? Let us know, and you can win, uh, mad snaps from YoYoNation.
Thanks to all who snapped up our limited quantity of Boyd Seth’s new signature yo-yo by CLYW yesterday. Though they sold out in minutes, more will be coming soon. Meanwhile, we thought this front-page image was worthy of posterity:

[Bear vs. Man at YoYoNation]
Pat is currently rocking out a YoYoNation customer service call with one of our French customers, in French. This may be a first for us and it makes for an interesting office soundtrack this morning. But at YoYoNation we are constantly striving to improve our service globally, and if you want to change the Sunset Trajectory NXG you ordered from bleu to jaune, we are here to help.
Day 2 of 2007 Bay Area Classic (The Expedition) was filled again with much eating, as well as a lot of hanging out with some very chill yo-yo personalities. More to come on this.
Meanwhile, a retrospective of some great animal/monster figurines we found at Kiya’s place, juxtaposed with some of our favorite things.

(left) Blue cat; Anti-Yo Fluchs. Thanks to Seth Peterson for letting us borrow his yo-yo to fulfill our photographic whims.
(center) Green monster; YoYoFactory G5, Black Edition. The black G5 has already seen this blog this week, but thanks anyway, Weber.
(right) Red cat; YoYoFactory G5, 1st Edition, with counterweight. We grabbed this off a table and aren’t sure who it belongs to, but we’re pretty certain he or she is awesome. Thanks, awesome friend.
