Rethinkyoyo Tutorial Contest

First of all, if you didn’t know about Rethinkyoyo yet, it’s a shame. Kyle makes one of the finest tutorials out there ! I think I learned like 75% of them. Go watch them here. Secondly, he is know organizing a really cool contest with some very cool prizes. He describes the contest as follows. I am so curious about the output of this contest: MORE TUTORIALS!!

For quite a while now, I’ve wanted to do something with Rethinkyoyo that anyone in the yoyo community could be a part of. Something that would not only benefit the community itself, but also the participants.

I’m very excited to announce the Rethinkyoyo Tutorial Contest. Several amazing people and companies have already contributed quite a bit to make this a truly great event. All players, no matter if you’re advanced or new to the sport, are invited to participate. Contestants will create tutorials teaching their own unique tricks, and the players who submit the top 3 tutorials will win some pretty impressive prizes.

For rules, judging criteria, prizes, and more information about the contest, visit http://www.rethinkyoyo.com/2/post/2011/05/rethinkyoyo-tutorial-contest.html

The one in the pictures are Prepro’s. No date yet on a production run. I really dig the new nipple! Nice job Frank, in my opinion St. Eels are still the best playing minis on the market ;)

Hubless Yoyo mod?

Yes it’s possible, and Jeffrey Pang can do it! Very cool idea in my opinion.

SPYY ?

Guy Wright new signature yoyo? Nope it isn’t. According to Steve, he’s just playing around with some powdercoat finishes on a few throws for Guy. There are no plans for production (although it looks badd-ass). From with I can tell its a Punchline (or a Repeater).

World yoyorecord gyroscopic flops comes from Greece!

Not sure if it’s official but still a great result! 27 in one throw!
