Hello im a starter and im 11 , im 4ft 11 and i want to get a good yoyo nothing over 12-15 dollars beacuase i have to pay for shipping and for me its 6.50. i can do the basics moves like the sleeper around the world , breakaway ,ufo but not well i was thinking the fast 201 cause i can grow into it and it has good sleeps would that be good? i dont mind it being noisy

I’ve had the “Journey” for a couple of days. The guy on the video wasn’t kidding about it being unresponsive. I’m trying to learn how to bind. I hope that helps.

Practically all new, modern yoyos with a butterfly shape and a ball bearing will give you long sleep times.

Speed maker was my first “GooD” yoyo now I use the super star and g5 I strongly reccomend the speedmaker. Also i wa s11 when i started.I still love it X)

Wuzzup. I need help. What yoyo is good for a preteen (11) learning tricks like split the atom. I was looking at the SpeedMaker because it has a ball bearing and butterfly shape. Any tips?

@jagjag — Thanks for your comment. We recommend responsive yo-yos for beginners because, more likely than not, they need to learn the basic throws. The process of binding an unresponsive yo-yo is more difficult than any of the basic throws and we at YoYoNation consider the bind to be a few steps above beginner tricks. Basic throws and long sleepers are skills many practiced yo-yos players might take for granted. However, in the context of helping a person learn the basic motor skills for yo-yo play, an unresponsive yo-yo is not as efficient as a responsive yo-yo.
