YoYoFactory 888 Yo-Yo Now Available!

YoYoFactory 888 yoyo eight8eight

The newest edition to the YoYoFactory family has finally arrived!

If you enjoyed the YoYoFactory G5, then the eight8eight yo-yo is right up your alley.

Smaller in size, but offering a full body, the eight8eight will blow you away with its superior stable play and great silicone-response.

Like the G5, these have the wildly fun side-bearing caps - allowing you to hold the yo-yo from its sides and watch it spin as you turn it in multiple planes and angles. Let creativity ring!

It should also be mentioned that these eight8eights all come with white hubstacks!! This following quote is taken from the YoYoFactory pages: “The addition of hubstacks does NOT, for even one moment, detract from the smooth spin and string play, but opens the door to more play options.”

Grab an eight8eight before they go zero0zero!!

BAC After Dark - Part 1

We present Installment #1 of YoYoNation’s “BAC After Dark” mini-series below.

This episode features Paul Han (Team Anti-Yo, 2006 US National 1A Yo-Yo Champion, BAC Champion MULTIPLE years, amongst a number of other titles) and Mark Montgomery (Team Buzzon, 2003 World AP Champion, Chopsticks-style innovator extraordinaire, amongst a number of other titles), both top placers at this year’s BAC — as well as several important revelers in the background.

Watch and appreciate, taking note of Weber’s special dance skills.

[Yo-Yo Video Alert!] BAC After Dark

So, we have a ton of unreleased video footage of the nocturnal yo-yo shenanigans that occurred chez YYN (i.e., the San Mateo Airport Marriott) during BAC weekend. It’s good stuff, and for the most part PG.

We have short attention spans so will roll this out in several installments, starting today. Questions? Comments? Demands? Leave a comment here or hit us at contact (at) yoyonation.com.

Gary Longoria shows us the REAL Sea Sick!

Hello All!

I’ve personally had a few discussions back and forth with some talented yo-yo players regarding differences between the “modern” Sea Sick (more of an Up and Down motion), and the “original” Sea Sick (more of an “L-shaped” motion).

Well, we’ve had an opportunity to catch up Gary Longoria (at BAC), one of the most influential players of “new-school” yo-yo play, as well as the inventor of Sea Sick.

Here’s HIS (the original) rendition of Sea Sick:

Impressive, eh? I still can’t get my Sea Sick to look like this…soon enough, I guess.

Thanks again, Gary!

(Note, that was my X-Yo Xcalibur Gary was using, with some pretty worn out pads…hence the binding problems!)
